It’s (nearly) always a pleasure to find a new review for The Apothecary’s Daughter on Amazon and this five star review by Tilly Tompkins made my day!
I absolutely LOVED this book and really didn’t want it to end. It’s that age old dilemma where a book hooks you in and you don’t want to put it down, but want to keep reading it until the end, but then as you near the end you are gutted that the ‘other world’ you have been so submerged in, is no longer going to exist for you ! The last couple of books I have read have been really mediocre, easy chic-lit reads, but having a week off work I really wanted something to get stuck in to ! This book granted me that wish! I was drawn to the book by the cover… I thought it really eye catching. I enjoy reading anything set in this time frame but was slightly apprehensive as this was a debut novel. However, I took the plunge and so glad that I did. If possible I would give this book more than 5 stars and can’t wait to read her next novel. Thank you Charlotte Betts !
