Write Every Day!

I’m relieved to hear that my editor is pleased with the final revisions for The Apothecary’s Daughter and that it has now been sent off to the copy editor.

Even more exciting is that I’ve had a sneaky preview of the cover for the hardback edition. It’s gorgeous! There will be a few small changes and then I’ll be able to upload it to the website.

Meanwhile, I’m slogging on with the sequel. And it is a slog. The story runs continuously in the back of my mind like a news reel on a loop and I’m desperate to find a decent chunk of time to concentrate on sorting out the plot problems. I write every day – even if that consists only of editing the previous chapter or simply writing a hundred words. After all, even hundred word passages soon add up to something more significant if you really do write every day.
